After dating for a year, Sabara proposed to Trainor in front of her family during a trip to Palm Springs in December 2017, and they wed in December 2018, on Trainor's 25th birthday. Two years later, the pair announced they were expecting their first child, and they welcomed son Riley in February 2021.
