Attorney General Letitia James spoke at a department promotion ceremony on March 7, but was mercilessly booed by pro-Trump firefighters and other attendees. The next day, Kavanagh texted James to apologize, according to messages seen by The New York Post. She wrote: 'I should have called you last night, but I've been trying to find a way to say I'm sorry that doesn't involve me apologizing for men who don't deserve such grace.
