With its surreal fake cityscape backdrop (full with super-sized moon), the shot appears to nod to the golden age of silent movie in the '20s — though it's also been stated that Phillips and cinematographer Lawrence Sher have used Francis Ford Coppola's 1981 musical One From The Coronary heart, which equally features stylised, surrealist setpieces.
