Erik ten Hag is hopeful that Luke Shaw shall be fit for Manchester United's Premier League clash towards Luton City on Sunday.
The defender was eliminated at half-time during final Sunday's 2-1 win towards Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Ten Hag stated that decision was a 'precaution', given Shaw's history with accidents.
United journey to Luton on Sunday trying to construct on current type that has seen them win 4 of their final six matches.
And, while Ten Hag says Shaw continues to be a doubt, he hopes he will prove his fitness in time.
'Yes, so he's doubtful for the weekend however we're constructive he could make it,' Ten Hag advised reporters.
'So, he fell out [of the Villa game], it was a precaution and I feel it was the fitting determination, especially whenever you, afterwards, win the game.
'However we're working to Sunday.'
United are at present with out Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia in full-back positions.
Malacia hasn't featured all season, whereas Wan-Bissaka has missed the last month.
'Wan-Bissaka will take some weeks because he picked up one other damage in coaching last week. Mason [Mount] and Tyrell will take some more weeks.'
